The Letter Project is a nonprofit organization that sends letters written by volunteers all over the world to girls in need of support. I ran their social media pages from January 2019 - May 2019 as their intern.

We post a lot of content of letters that our volunteer letter writers have written. Often with these posts we were able to ask questions that people could answer in the comments, or invite people to tag other people in the comments who would be interested in writing letters for the Letter Project, allowing new people to learn about the organization and begin following the page.

We also post many inspirational quotes and artwork that helps to lift people up. These posts were often very popular and many people shared our posts which led other people to our page. Throughout all our posts we maintained a voice of a girl talking to her friends, in direct messages, in responding to comments and in writing our posts. This helped us to be more personable.

I was also able to be a part of the release of the Letter Project's new candle, and I was able to help promote that through our social media channels. We also hosted a giveaway in honor of International Women's Day, which many people entered an helped to increase our overall following and engagement.

We also made an effort to post something on the Instagram story every day. On the left is a video I made and posted on the Instagram story of how to host a Write Night, which is an activity we frequently tried to encourage

I also posted at least one thing on the story each day. Oftentimes it would be an encouraging art piece like these pictured above. I always tagged the artist, both to avoid copyright infringement and also so that the artist could re-post our story if they wanted to, leading more people back to our account.
